I needed a long ride. My legs, my lungs and my heart wanted to work. So I took the legs, lungs and heart to the gym and got into the Spin studio with a couple of other cardio junkies and just cranked up the volume, the resistance and the cadence. Needing to be home before 10 a.m., I cut my ride short at 2 hours, 12 minutes. But I kept going until the odometer on the bike computer said 50 miles. The average heart rate was 156 and I supposedly burned 1,746 kcals. It wasn’t the same as a road ride,
